Millions of People Will Instantaneously Disappear From the Earth – And it Could Happen Anytime!
Some people may think this is a joke or simply a fantasy or farce. But I assure you, it definitely is NOT. Can you even imagination the confusion and calamities that will transpire when this happens. And it will HAPPEN. The Bible says so. This is what Christians are waiting to take place – and soon. This is what is called by Christian theologians, the Rapture of the Church.
Well, the Bible tells us this is so, and Christians believe the Bible to be God’s Word or the Inspired Word of God. I’m sure you’ve heard the statement: “God said it, I believe it. That settles it.” The truth is, if God says it, THAT settles it – whether or not I believe it. This is what the Scriptures refer to as the BLESSED HOPE. And what is that most blessed of all hopes? It is simply this: To go to meet Jesus without experiencing physical death.
God’s promises this: One generation of believers will be transported to heaven by “the catching away” (Rapture), without experiencing death. We read about this great coming event in the words of Thessalonians 4: “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not precede them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then, we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them together to meet the Lord (Jesus) in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (I Thess:4:15-17)..
Of course, there are many references to the coming of Christ and the Rapture of His people found throughout the Bible. However, this is the clearest passage to spell it out in detail. It tells us: 1), That Jesus may return for His own at any time 2) When He returns, all who have received Him as their Savior, both living and dead, will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the coming Lord 3) It will happen instantaneously and without advance warning – “in the twinkling of any eye” 4) The living believers will be resurrected from the graves of earth 5) There will be one generation of Christians referred to in the Thessalonian passage who will be alive on earth when Jesus returns. 6) After this spectacular event we will forever be with the Lord!
